Preservation

Jibeka is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility and preservation of the research and scholarly works published in our journal. To maintain the integrity and availability of our content, we utilize the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a trusted service integrated with our publishing platform.

The PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) is a digital preservation system designed to protect long-term access to academic content. The Public Knowledge Project (PKP), the same organization behind the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform we use for our journal, builds PKP PN. This service ensures that the content we publish is safely archived and remains accessible over time, even if the original hosting platform experiences technical issues or discontinuation.

All published content from Jibeka will automatically be deposited in the PKP Preservation Network. This network includes multiple trusted repositories and archives that ensure our content is preserved in a secure, standardized format. By preserving all articles, Jibeka provides our authors and readers with peace of mind that all published articles will be reliably stored for future access, even as technology and platforms evolve. PKP PN helps maintain the scholarly integrity of our journal by ensuring that our research remains accessible, discoverable, and preserved for long-term use.
