Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in Microsoft Word format (docx) and The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
- The author understands that there are costs that must be paid in managing the manuscript.
Author Guidelines
This guideline is designed to help authors craft scientific articles that meet Jibeka’s standards. Authors are expected to understand these criteria and ensure their manuscripts align with them.
General
Submission of an article implies that the work described is original and unpublished (except as an abstract, lecture, or thesis) and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. All authors, tacitly or explicitly, and the responsible authorities agree to the publication of the article upon acceptance.
Manuscript Format
It is highly recommended that the file be saved in the word processor's native format. The format for the text should be one column. Please keep the text's layout as straightforward as possible. If you are using a table grid for table preparation, use one grid for each table rather than one grid for each row.
It is important to employ your word processor's "spell-check" and "grammar-check" features to prevent needless mistakes.
Sections
- Introduction. State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.
- Methods. Provide sufficient details so that an independent researcher can reproduce the work.
- Results. Results should be clear and concise.
- Discussion. The discussion should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature.
- Conclusions The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusions Section, which may stand alone or form a subsection of a Discussion or Results and Discussion section.

Manuscript Layout
- Jibeka uses A4 page size, 1.0 line spacing, and standard margins (2.5 cm on all sides, except the first page).
- Jibeka only receives manuscripts within a total of 9–15 pages, excluding references.
- Jibeka provides a template that includes a word style.
